Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Operations Manager
to oversee all aspects of product manufacturing at our facility. This role is responsible for managing manufacturing, quality, and delivery processes, while ensuring the successful implementation of operational strategies. The Operations Manager will serve as the principal point of contact for all day-to-day manufacturing activities, continuously drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs), and uphold a strong safety culture across the team. Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership & Management: Manage the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer requirements. Champion safety initiatives and enforce strict adherence to safety standards to maintain a safe working environment for all employees. Lead by example to drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and improving KPIs related to operations, quality, customer service, finance, and people. Establish and maintain a Lean Management System, implementing tools like Gemba walks, Daily Management, and Leader Standard Work to continuously transform the culture and improve operational performance. Performance Monitoring & Problem-Solving: Actively lead problem-solving efforts for key operational challenges to improve quality, reduce cost, eliminate waste, and enhance overall efficiency. Provide timely reports on floor status and track progress on key milestones, ensuring senior management is kept informed of daily operations and performance. Foster accountability by ensuring clear ownership of action items and deadlines, holding the team and leadership accountable for outcomes. Drive operational integration through Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives that foster operational excellence. Lead cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and implement sustainable changes that align with long-term business goals. Develop and implement operational strategies that address the evolving needs of the manufacturing plan and optimize resource allocation, financial assessments, and capacity modeling. Team Development & Coaching: Mentor and coach team members at all levels to improve performance and align with both short-term and long-term goals. Provide ongoing training, feedback, and development opportunities to ensure that employees are empowered to perform their roles effectively. Promote a collaborative environment and ensure effective communication between cross-functional teams to align operational processes with business objectives. Lead by example in fostering a positive work culture, driving a results-oriented mindset, and ensuring that operational goals are met with minimal disruption. Lead efforts to drive the cultural transformation across the facility, aligning operational strategies with the company's core values and objectives. Qualifications: Proven experience in an operations management role within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on driving operational excellence. Strong expertise in Lean Management principles, including experience with Gemba walks, Daily Management, and Leader Standard Work. Familiarity with value-stream mapping and expertise in formal problem-solving techniques (e.g., A3 format). Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing teams to achieve performance goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, team members, and external stakeholders. Hands-on experience with project management, financial assessments, and resource planning to ensure operational capabilities meet business demands. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to understand and address operational challenges effectively. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and lead teams through periods of change while minimizing disruptions to operations. Seniority level
