Overview
This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and performing vital repairs to ensure the efficiency, performance, and reliability of the Cool Whip/Lunchables systems and equipment in accordance with Kraft Heinz policies and procedures. The successful candidate will work on both mechanical and electrical systems, including up to 480V, PLC ladder logic, controls integrations, and traditional mechanical systems such as cams, drives, belts, and sheaves. Responsibilities/Duties
Perform duties within the Maintenance function with minimal supervision. Monitor lines for defects, develop repair plans before failures occur, and diagnose or repair mechanical or electrical failures on the line. Adhere to GMP policies and procedures. Maintain records of equipment performance, necessary repairs and downtime via PMs, SAP work requests, and PC-based systems. Coordinate with the Supervisor on product changeovers and other information essential to quality and efficiency. Recognize and record any unusual conditions or defective equipment via SAP Protocol. Maintain clean and orderly work areas to meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. Observe safety rules, policies, precautions, and practices to ensure safety of self and others. Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions. Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Mechanical skills and abilities
Electrical systems understanding and troubleshooting capabilities. Repair and rebuild capabilities for operating and maintenance. Ability to read and understand machine prints, drawings, and sketches. Welding knowledge (Acetylene/Plasma cutting, Heliarc/stick welding). Routine machining, parts fabrication, and repair. Electrical skills and abilities. Knowledge of PLC operation, logic, and troubleshooting. Understanding of basic motor control circuitry. Knowledge of the sequence of operation of equipment within the area of responsibility. Proficiency with instruments/tools pertinent to the job. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for DPS, PM routines, and detailed steps; attention to detail; ability to instruct/train; time management; and computer literacy for specific software programs. Qualifications
Minimum of two years of experience in industrial maintenance. Must pass job qualification criteria for a position requiring mechanical and electrical skills testing. Ability to perform and train others in basic mechanical skills, mechanical repairs and overhauls, maintenance systems, preventive/predictive maintenance technologies, and problem-solving as needed. Demonstrates good communication, leadership, and effective planning abilities. Physical requirements
Perform bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to ground level and overhead. Lift up to 50 pounds independently and heavier with assistance. Ability to give and understand instructions in a manufacturing environment as well as in an office or classroom setting. Manual dexterity to operate equipment, disassemble/reassemble equipment, and operate a computer and office equipment. Benefits & Compensation Overview
We offer a variety of benefits. The starting hourly wage for this role is $33.33/hr. A third-shift differential of $2.50 is available.
