Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; stock and rotate department products using perpetual inventory management techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience in the meat area; model high quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; use the Open Door Policy; apply these in executing business processes and practices. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress and information; identify and address improvement opportunities; adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback. The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
