Pay Range $70,000.00/yr – $85,000.00/yr
Job Overview Are you a dynamic leader with a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry? We’re looking for a bi‑lingual English/Spanish Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift to oversee the daily operations of our packaging lines. In this role, you’ll be leading a team of 150‑300 production employees, ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of our packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise & Lead: Manage, mentor, and train a team of 150-300 packaging line employees to ensure high performance and adherence to production goals.
Ensure Compliance: Maintain current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) standards on the packaging lines and comply with regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, DEA, etc.).
Operational Efficiency: Oversee all aspects of line startup, break times, and end‑of‑shift operations to ensure minimal downtime and optimal productivity.
Packaging Orders: Review and approve packaging orders, ensuring that all components are checked and approved for use on the production line.
Employee Training: Train new and current packaging employees on proper procedures, equipment use, and packaging requirements before starting jobs.
Component Management: Supervise the staging of packaging components and ensure all materials are in place before production starts.
Safety & Quality: Collaborate with the QA team to resolve quality issues and assist with maintaining the safety program.
Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure that all lines, machines, and tooling are clean, well‑maintained, and ready for use at all times.
Reporting & Documentation: Complete batch records in collaboration with QA, ensure the proper completion of line clearance, and account for excess components at the end of each production lot.
Performance Reviews: Evaluate and provide feedback on the performance of your direct reports.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 5+ years of industry experience.
Experience: 3‑5 years of supervisory experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally within packaging operations.
Skills: Strong understanding of packaging equipment (check weighers, fillers, labelers, cappers, and metal detectors).
Language Skills: Bilingual English‑Spanish is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 45 lbs. and work in a noisy packaging environment.
