Position Overview
The Client Services Manager ensures that every client engagement is executed with clarity, excellence, and measurable impact. This individual will serve as the primary contact for executive clients—leading onboarding, managing relationships, coordinating freelancers, and delivering reporting tied to brand goals. They will create bi-weekly client reports, lead monthly progress meetings, and oversee execution across writers, PR partners, and designers. A strong background in writing, editing, and content strategy is essential, as this role often shapes client messaging into polished, market-ready narratives. The CSM will also be expected to leverage AI and prompt engineering—combined with human innovation—to enhance content, insights, and reporting. Note this is an individual contributor position currently without direct reports. Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary relationship manager for executive clients. Lead onboarding, monthly client meetings, and deliver bi-weekly reporting. Shape client content strategies, guiding thought leadership, writing, and storytelling. Manage freelancers and external vendors to ensure quality and timeliness. Leverage AI and prompt engineering with human innovation to create and enhance content, insights, and reporting. Use media analytics tools (Cision, Muck Rack, Meltwater) to measure outcomes and guide strategy. Anticipate client needs and provide proactive recommendations. Translate complex client objectives into compelling, media-worthy narratives. Secure meaningful media placements across local, national, and trade outlets. Collaborate with leadership to continually elevate the client experience. Qualifications & Preferred Skills
8+ years in client services, PR, content strategy, or marketing communications. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple formats. Proven ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines with skill and precision. Experience with executive visibility, thought leadership campaigns, or crisis communications. Knowledge of digital PR strategies and integration with social media. Proven track record of securing meaningful media coverage. Strong interpersonal and client relationship management abilities. Confidence in presenting to and advising senior-level clients. Proficiency in AI tools and prompt engineering for content creation and reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field (preferred). Compensation & Benefits
