RCM Engineering Process & Industrial Services Division is seeking a Project Manager in our Buffalo, NY area office. Please email your resume to mitchell.maher@rcmt.com.
Responsibilities
Direct all phases of Engineering Design projects – estimating, project direction/execution, and through construction and commissioning support.
Support our client's projects by assisting engineering (basic and detailed), procurement, fabrication and construction.
Maintain a strategic focus for projects with frequent interaction with the business unit and the client to balance immediate project needs with long term goals of the company.
Manage one or more simultaneous projects ranging from $0.5MM to $30MM that are affiliated with Industrial Gas, Chemical, Commercial and other third-party customers.
Our projects are primarily located within operating facilities or brownfield locations.
Utilize project management methodologies, systems and tools as required to meet the needs of various project assignments.
Assist with business development and new client acquisition.
You will lead project teams and facilitate the communication and interaction among the functional representatives.
Track projects against their schedules, budgets and against phase gate review objectives, reporting status to management and customer on a regular basis.
Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated occurrences.
Maintain awareness of safety and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum of seven years industrial related project experience, with at least 3 years of project management experience.
Possess a general understanding of contract administration, business principals and have a broad understanding of each engineering discipline.
PE Licensing and / or PMP Certification is beneficial.
Experience in construction is desirable.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to client locations or project sites.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Education
BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline.

Salary: $75,000 to $125,000 per year, dependent upon experience
