MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Experienced Senior Loan Operations Manager will lead the bank’s Loan Operations team while supporting senior management to accomplish the bank’s strategic growth plans. A focus on efficiency, effectiveness, accuracy, and training is required.
Oversee the production of loan documents which may involve interaction with outside legal counsel and implementation of the bank’s Laser-Pro document generating application.
Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly loan reports using tools such as Business Analytics or other report writing applications.
Overall provide leadership, training and supervision within the department using informal and formal performance reviews and evaluations
Supports the Chief Credit Officer, CEO and CFO in duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supervises work of the Loan Operations Department personnel which will involve determining work priorities, ensuring sufficient cross-training of personnel and identifying added training or skills to enhance the efficiency of the department overall.
Oversee the boarding of new loans and renewals to ensure accuracy and completeness of the loan record on the loan platform.
Reviews of new loan processing work performed by assigned personnel to ensure all loan documentation is in place and adheres to bank policies and procedures.
Maintains an effective loan tracking tickler system that ensures the bank is tracking, requesting, and monitoring receipt of required post-closing documentation such as insurance, financial information, and tax returns.
Ensure the tracking system accurately captures the specific requirements of each loan.
Ensure accurate and timely servicing of the bank’s loan portfolio including participation and syndication loans which may involve interacting with the lead bank’s servicing team.
Identifies and recommends revisions of internal standards, policies, operating procedures, and new programs to improve efficiency; provides staff with clear and concise written guidelines.
Research loan system problems and errors. Analyzes and resolves customer questions, complaints, or problems requiring experience or knowledge beyond other staff’s authority.
Provides and organizes loan information requests for audits and exams.
Reconcile various loan-related general ledger accounts and various loan-related checking accounts.
Trains assigned personnel on new applications, rules, regulations, and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Bachelor’s degree or ten years related banking experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth knowledge of banking operations, products/services and regulations related to lending and operations functions including in-depth knowledge of the Fiserv Premier core processing system or other similar systems such as FIS or Jack Henry
Advanced organizational skills with an ability for detailed research.
Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
Advanced PC skills including Microsoft, Abrigo, Adobe.
