Overview
Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), a DFW Top 100 Employer, is looking for a Supply Chain Data Analyst to collect, organize and disseminate corporate-wide supply chain data to identify problems and develop recommendations which support Supply Chain operations.
This is an onsite role at our corporate offices located in Plano between Legacy West and Grandscape. The Data Analyst will develop, revise and effectively communicate analytical summaries to the Supply Trust team, vendors and current members. The analyst will also have the ability to acquire, assimilate and analyze data from multiple systems and data sources utilizing a variety of business intelligence and reporting tools.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on project results
Interact with corporate and materials management teams to gather data, conduct analysis to identify and define problems from data extraction from the facility’s Materials Management information system and analytics platforms
Develop and maintain relationships with staff and customers to serve as a resource when needed
Assist with ad hoc analytics reporting projects
Develop reports on usage, market share statistics, purchasing trends, and price comparison impact for new contracts and potential product conversions
With manager guidance, plan, organize, develop and deliver reports, deliverables and projects on time, adhering to requested specifications
Provide support during GPO and distributor implementation to ensure contracts are properly connected
Work with members and Prime Distributor team to resolve pricing discrepancies
Complete the weekly PCN report, researching and verifying future pricing, and serving as liaison to vendors and prime distributor
Analyze supply spend to identify savings opportunities through vendor standardization, product conversions, and GPO tier optimization
Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective and cost-conscious manner, complying with CHC’s policies, procedures and regulations
General Duties
Indirectly creates an environment in which the needs of facility Supply Chain Directors can be met so that they develop a high level of productivity and commitment to their Facility and can meet the needs of departmental customers, co-workers and others
Maintains up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulations as appropriate for materials management and GPO-related issues
Upholds and supports the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives
Performs related duties as assigned
Occasional travel
Education and Experience
Requires 0-3 years of experience in a data, business, or financial analyst role
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, Health Care Administration or other related field with equivalent experience or 4-6 years of experience in lieu of degree
Skills and Knowledge
Knowledge of healthcare supply chain, financials, healthcare products and services, inventory management systems, distribution/operations
Ability to capture, understand, analyze and interpret data, and make recommendations from the analysis
Ability to work with all levels of management and staff and respect all differences
Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members
Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines effectively
Ability to define realistic, specific goals and objectives and to prioritize effectively
Ability to work under tight constraints
Ability to produce quality results and complete analysis per end-user’s specific needs
Ability to deliver end-to-end analytics projects: taking them from vague requirements to an impactful story
