Position Summary
The Project Manager – Quotations Specialist will focus on increasing and sustaining our growth into the commercial and specialty market. THE PM role will provide sales support company-wide by producing timely and professional job quotes as requested by Branch Managers, Salespeople, and Customers. The PM is responsible forthe planning, execution, and delivery of electrical distribution projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are completed on time and within the requested material standards. The PM will have expertise in managing small and large-scale electrical distribution systems, including substations, transformers, circuit breakers, cables, and lighting lines, along with all electrical commodities with a focus on coordination, client relations, and risk management. Project Planning & Coordination
Develop and manage quotations for commercial and specialty market projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to company standards. Collaborate with Branch Managers, Salespeople, and Customers to understand project requirements and produce accurate job quotes. Lead and manage electrical projects from quotation to job completion, ensuring successful execution and delivery within defined timelines, budget, and scope. Define project objectives, and deliverables, and track progress against those goals. Develop detailed project plans, including project scope, budget and schedule. Work with manufacturers to negotiate competitive pricing to ensure positive outcomes. Maintain detailed records of all quotations and related communications, recording outcomes and for future reference and analysis. Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional service throughout the quotation process. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the quotation process. Coordinate with operations, sales reps, designers, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Provide regular reporting detailing jobs quoted including Job Name, Bid Date, Customer Name, Salesperson, Branch number, Vendors, Cost, Sell Price, Margin and outcomes. Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the quotation process.
Resource Management
Allocate resources effectively, managing both human (operations/sales) and material resources to meet project timelines. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. Procure gear, lighting and ALL commodities material based on contractors desired request
Risk and Budget Management
Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project scope, timelines, and budget are not compromised. Prepare and maintain project budgets and report on project progress, escalate issues as necessary to local management and contractor. Conduct project meetings, providing clear communication on project expectations, timelines, risks, and issues with sales and management teams.
Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and support team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Address and resolve any personnel or operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
Quality Control
Conduct regular audits of stored materials for accuracy Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure the project is progressing according to plan.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales support, project management, or a related role within the commercial or specialty markets.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in quotation software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and build client relationships. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions
Based at the company's headquarters with occasional travel to branch offices and customer sites. Full-time position with standard business hours, occasional overtime may be required. Sound logic and reasoning skills. Benefits
