The 3rd Shift Supervisor role is responsible for overseeing nightly production operations, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards, schedules are adhered to, and team development is effectively supported.

Key responsibilities

Efficiently execute production schedules in coordination with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams.

Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with site engineers.

Lead and train a production team of 15–35 direct reports, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, including GMP, HACCP/SQF, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, CI, 5S, and KPI tracking methodologies.

Manage labor costs and production KPIs while minimizing operational losses.

Maintain and utilize production reporting systems such as SAP and Kronos.

Foster a positive and safe work environment in partnership with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) teams.

Qualifications and skills Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Business, or a comparable combination of education and experience is preferred.

Experience

2–5 years in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with demonstrated leadership experience.

Technical Expertise

Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and operational processes. Familiarity with HACCP, SQF, GMP, and food safety systems. Strong technical and analytical capabilities, with experience using SAP and Microsoft Office.

Leadership & Communication

Effective communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Approximately 80–90% of time will be spent on the production floor, with 10–20% dedicated to strategic planning and office-based tasks.

Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64,479 to $105,272 in Annual Salary.
