Quality Control Specialist III (Test Lead) ESN is seeking a Quality Control Specialist III (Test Lead) to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provide near real‑time material‑based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System‑Navy (DRRS‑N) and provide three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet, including ashore and afloat systems. This support includes automated software testing, Scrum Master support, operation in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA/Confluence, Cyber compliance, and project support.

Location Located on site in Chesapeake, VA.

Responsibilities Support the NIWC LANT contract with independent verification & validation, operations, sustainment, and installation support. Provide automated software testing, Scrum Master support, operate AWS Cloud environments, manage JIRA/Confluence, ensure Cyber compliance, and support project activities.

Required Education

High School diploma/GED related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.

Experience

5 years professional experience solving technical problems.

Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.

Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.

Experience ensuring that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.

Three (3) years of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area.

Experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps/DevSecOps) in a professional or academic setting.

Schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend support required.

Performs other duties and works schedules as assigned by management, which may include changes to duties, responsibilities, or work hours as required to meet contractual obligations, mission requirements, or the needs of the organization.

Specific Experience

Test Team Lead management knowledge, process oversight, and reporting.

Process improvement, conflict resolution, and exceptional communication skills.

Three (3) years' experience in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) software testing.

Three (3) years' experience in developing automated software tests.

Two (2) years' experience in an agile software development process.

Security Clearance Must hold an active Department of Defense SECRET clearance.
