– direct supervision of hourly employees in the manufacturing of food products; ensure safe daily operations while meeting production schedules. Communicate production goals and objectives to achieve results; maintain high product quality and maximize plant efficiencies in support of continuous improvement. Responsibilities

Support positive peer/employee relations in all interactions, including valuing differences, monitoring compliance with company policies and procedures, and ensuring policies are administered consistently across Monogram employees. Provide proper training for plant employees on HACCP/SSOP, GMP, equipment and plant safety requirements; conduct job-specific training to ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Address infractions and participate in the union grievance process as necessary. Responsible for replacement employee training, workstation assignments/rotations, back-up for absent employees, and overtime assignment. Perform essential recordkeeping and timekeeping functions for department personnel. Monitor employee attendance and absenteeism, and hold employees accountable as necessary. Build awareness with all employees around customers to elevate understanding of who they are and why they matter. Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and sanitation. Establish staffing levels including turnover and needs related to product volumes. Schedule and conduct shift meetings to review safety concerns and performance, along with plant performance versus expectations. Accountability

Compliance of Programs. Production quantity and quality results. Maintaining clear communication during critical points in a process. Results of Quality Audits. Reducing customer complaints while increasing first-pass quality. Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of college education and relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and timekeeping systems preferred. Three or more years of previous supervisory experience in food processing manufacturing; union experience preferred. Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week while helping create and work toward a Quality vision. Americans With Disability
