Manager for Operations Development, CeraVe, L'Oréal Dermatological Beauty Division, L'Oréal Operations — Clark, New Jersey. This role serves as the Operational representative to CeraVe with Global Marketing, autonomously overseeing the launch of new products. At L’Oréal Dermatological Beauty, our mission is to help everyone in their quest for healthy and beautiful skin. Our division is the world leader in dermo-cosmetics by adding health to beauty. Our brands include CeraVe, SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Skinbetter Science and Vichy, offering skincare products to respond to beauty and health needs. We are seeking a Manager for our Operations Development team in our Clark, New Jersey Operations Hub. We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or a related technical discipline Minimum 5 years' experience in proven package development project work/quality experience, preferably in cosmetics, consumer goods or related field French language skill is a plus Travel to vendors and plants will be required (10-15% of time) Proficient PC skills — MS Office; capable of building presentations in Excel/PowerPoint; proficient in MS Project Good communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and suppliers Good organizational skills to manage documentation, materials and information Ability to assume leadership of Brand Development team and special projects as needed Develop and maintain knowledge of new or emerging trends and technologies Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis (no sponsorship needed now or in the future) Ability to be onsite, in the office, as this is an essential function, including NY and NJ sites Responsibilities
Shaping New Product Launches: partner with Marketing to guide new product briefs and conception definitions, ensuring innovation is designed with agility, profitability, and L4TF sustainability commitments. Assessing Launch Viability: analyze cost structure, timeline, and sustainability profile to determine readiness and alignment with strategic objectives. Leading Global Collaboration: coordinate with manufacturing partners across five global zones to harmonize processes and drive consistency. Orchestrating Project Success: develop and manage detailed project timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation, ensuring launches comply with the L’Oréal Quality system. Driving Risk Management: lead cross-functional risk assessments with Operations and R&I, create mitigation plans, and secure robust technical backups. Engaging with Leadership: present launch reviews and risk escalations to Operational and Divisional leadership with clear, actionable recommendations. Resolving Roadblocks: lead cross-functional review meetings to identify and remove obstacles to progress. Evolving the Brand Catalogue: manage updates to formula, packaging, or regulatory requirements within the brand catalogue. Championing Collaboration and Sustainability: coordinate with Marketing, Operations, and R&I to advance harmonization, profitability, and sustainability; implement regulatory updates. Leading and Inspiring Teams: may lead a small team, mentoring colleagues to achieve their best work. What’s In It For You
