Business Development Manager (m/f/d) – Cosmetic Testing & Regulatory Services Our client is an international provider of scientific and regulatory services for cosmetic and personal care brands. It delivers high value-added B2B services to help clients launch safe, compliant products in complex international markets. To strengthen its presence in the DACH region, the company is hiring a Business Development Manager to lead commercial development in the DACH area. This is a strategic role at the intersection of science, regulation, and market innovation. Responsibilities
Drive commercial growth in Germany and the wider DACH market Identify and pursue new business opportunities with R&D, Regulatory, Product Development, and Innovation teams Promote scientific services such as clinical studies, in vivo protocols, safety assessments, and regulatory consulting Build tailored solutions with the support of internal experts (scientists, toxicologists, project managers) Attend industry events, trade shows, and congresses to raise visibility and generate leads Develop new business and manage key accounts across the cosmetics and personal care value chain What you will do
Position the company as a key partner for testing, safety, and compliance in the DACH region Requirements
Fluent German (C1 or higher) and professional English 3–5+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, or client advisory in a regulated B2B context Understanding of cosmetics formulation, efficacy testing, regulatory requirements, or clinical evaluation Based in Germany (ideally North) and available for regular travel Candidate profile
Experience in a testing laboratory, CDMO, or regulatory service provider, or in cosmetics ingredients, raw materials, or formulation supply Comfort speaking with technical decision-makers (regulatory managers, formulation experts, project leads) and leading a value-based, consultative sales approach Bonus points
Experience with clinical/in vivo studies (e.g., patch testing, SPF, anti-aging efficacy) Familiarity with cosmetic regulations (EU 1223/2009, ISO 24442, FDA, EMA) Competitive base salary up to €80,000 + performance-based bonus Company car (also for personal use) Collaborative international team of experts in science and regulation Growth opportunities with a reputable brand Application
