Overview The Project Manager I is responsible for the overall administration, organization, and implementation of small electrical construction projects or parts of larger, more complex projects. Responsibilities Assist the project Superintendent in preparing project documentation, layout, and field support. Develop resource-loaded CPM schedules using Primavera. Coordinate and lead project kick-off meetings. Forecast cash flow and manpower needs. Read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Work with the Superintendent to develop budgets, cost codes, and assign costs and manpower for tracking. Research, compile submittals, price change orders, and prepare estimates for designed projects. Meet with potential clients to present proposals. Follow bid procedures and forms. Coordinate with personnel, owners, contractors, and professionals to resolve issues. Manage procurement of materials and monitor tools and equipment. Obtain permits and licenses, ensure inspections are timely. Oversee financial management to maintain or exceed profitability. Expedite change orders and ensure project completion, including punch-list, as-built drawings, manuals, and training. Monitor progress, prepare reports on budget, schedule, cash flow, and manpower. Identify cost-saving and quality improvement opportunities. Ensure all KPIs are complete and accurate. Develop equipment plans and ensure safety regulations are followed. Review contracts and negotiate with customers. Qualifications Experience supervising Construction Project Managers and performing PM duties. Operational and administrative control experience for projects based in Charleston, SC. Extensive project management experience managing teams and multiple projects. 7-9 years of experience with a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, or 5-7 years with a Master's degree. Experience with engineering firms, clients, and general contractors. Proven successful project delivery record. Experience managing diverse, multi-discipline projects (Fire Alarm, Communications, Security, etc.). Ability to prepare status reports and ensure plans meet business needs. Creative, autonomous, and capable of working with top management. Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Ability to facilitate change and work in diverse environments. Abilities Prolonged computer use and sitting. Reaching, finger dexterity, listening, speaking, reading, and problem-solving skills.
