Senior Project Manager – Pipe Fabrication We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex pipe fabrication projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of high‑quality fabricated piping systems and components for clients in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, energy, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will oversee cross‑functional, matrixed teams, manage project schedules and budgets, and drive operational excellence and continuous improvement while adhering to safety and quality standards. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in industrial project management, focusing on schedule and budget efficiency, risk mitigation, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities

Lead full project lifecycle for pipe fabrication projects from initiation to project closure, ensuring alignment with client specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6, incorporating resource allocation, milestones, and critical path analysis.

Monitor project progress through Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques, analyzing variances in cost and schedule to implement corrective actions and optimize performance.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues, manage change orders, and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).

Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential delays, supply chain disruptions, or safety concerns in fabrication processes.

Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders through regular communication, status updates, and performance reporting.

Oversee budget management, including cost forecasting, invoice approvals, and financial reporting to maintain profitability.

Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of zero incidents across projects.

Mentor junior project managers and team members, providing guidance on best practices in project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

Evaluate project outcomes through post‑mortem reviews, identifying lessons learned to enhance future project efficiency and organizational processes.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.

Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in project management within the pipe fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy industrial sectors.

Proven expertise with Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource management.

Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, including the ability to interpret EVM metrics and apply them to real‑time project adjustments.

Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a fabrication or construction environment.

In‑depth knowledge of pipe fabrication processes, materials (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel), and welding techniques.

Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and other project management software; familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or Oracle) is a plus.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle high‑pressure situations.

Commitment to safety protocols and quality management systems, with certifications such as Six Sigma being advantageous.

Willingness to travel to client locations as needed (up to 25%).
