Responsibilities

Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices as the front-line manager for leadership and development of associates

Deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve all office-related growth objectives for three tax offices

Lead the customer-centric teams in the offices you manage to accelerate seasonal tax business

Own office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders

Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets

Develop local partnerships and manage office community involvement

Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions

Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns with the Associate Relations Center

Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching

Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates

Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management

Travel between offices as required

Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment

Qualifications / What you’ll bring

People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates

Aptitude for executing growth plans and leading a growth-oriented culture

Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset

Computer proficiency (MS Office)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)

Work Schedule You will start a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
