Overview

Project Manager, Substation – Spokane, WA. This role supports David Evans and Associates, Inc. Energy team with project leadership for substation projects up to 500 kV, focusing on safe, reliable, and affordable electricity delivery and renewable energy integration. What You’ll Do

Provide high level technical leadership, project management, and client management for substation projects up to 500 kV. Develop project approach and execute the project execution plan. Develop staffing plans, participate in workload planning, and assist in backlog management and staffing decisions. Delegate project tasks, provide technical guidance to team members, and work with project engineers, designers, technicians, and other project managers on multidiscipline teams. Lead or coordinate QA/QC processes for substation projects. Act as a seller/doer by building long-term client relationships through excellent work, clear communication, and clarity of expectations. Directly manage projects and supporting staff in development and delivery, including scoping, budgeting, contract negotiations, and execution. Mentor engineers, designers, and other staff; travel may be required. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited college. 5+ years of experience with substation design. 3+ years of experience as a project manager or engineering manager. Experience with all aspects of substation design, including physical, relaying, and studies. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college. Experience managing electrical engineering projects and teams at a consulting firm. Experience building substations for utility-scale renewable generation, for renewable owners/developers or design-build contractors. What We Offer
