Pay $18.50/hr – $18.50/hr (base hourly rate)
Job Summary Responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the store’s daily operation and achievement of sales results, while assuring the delivery of excellent customer/donor service. Manages the processing of donated goods and works with the store’s managers to ensure staff are properly trained and performing effectively.
Responsibilities
Assist in opening and closing the store in the absence of the Store Manager and Key Holder.
Supervise the processing of donated goods in a timely and accurate manner, following the production system.
Foster teamwork among management staff to accomplish store goals.
Coach, train, and develop the management team and oversee training of store personnel.
Delegate the daily and weekly scheduling of staff.
Address employee issues by resolving complaints, providing performance feedback, conducting appraisals, and counseling.
Administer disciplinary actions in coordination with the Area Manager.
Maintain daily and weekly reporting of sales, donations and overall financial results.
Ensure store revenue goals and budgeted expenses are met.
Manage inventory and labor costs to maximize profitability.
Ensure accuracy of cash handling and compliance with accounting procedures.
Maintain store appearance, safety, and compliance with store policies and procedures.
Train and develop staff on safety and company protocols.
Maintain high standards of customer service and reinforce Goodwill’s mission.
Complete various administrative duties including reporting facility issues, making deposits, opening/closing, and communicating transportation needs.
Back of Store Duties: organize production area, facilitate loading/unloading, train employees on processing donated goods, greet donors, and manage inventory counts.
Front of Store Duties: manage register procedures, process customer transactions, assist customers, ensure proper display, maintain floor cleanliness, and report security issues.
Other duties as assigned, including travel to other stores as needed.
Qualifications
High School or GED preferred.
Minimum of 2 years prior retail management experience preferred.
Team leadership skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Advanced customer service skills.
Ability to promote and maintain workplace safety.
Ability to handle customer/donor/employee relations in absence of Store Manager.
Value diversity.
Proficiency with POS reporting procedures.
Energy and enthusiasm to help others.
Demonstrated interest in a career in retail.
Strong knowledge of financial management.
Basic math skills.
Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, other Office, basic office equipment).
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying up to 50 lbs, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, turning.
Repetitive motions; may require standing using fingers, hands or feet more than two‑thirds of the day.

Supervisory Authority Supervises at least 2 or more full‑time employees (5 to 20 sales associates and key holders). Builds and maintains a supervisory relationship with the Store Manager.
