Overview
Gessner Engineering is seeking an experienced
Civil Project Manager
to lead design efforts, manage client relationships, and lead and develop a talented team of engineers on a wide range of civil projects—including residential, commercial, higher education, and public infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage project design, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers (EITs and PEs) to deliver high-quality, timely results. This includes the technical and professional development of team members.
Coordinate internally and externally with clients, consultants, and review agencies.
Oversee preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
Conduct site visits and manage construction administration activities (forensics, as-built data, submittals, RFIs).
Perform QA/QC reviews and seal designs consistent with experience.
Develop proposals, manage invoicing, and contribute to business development efforts.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
5–10 years of civil engineering experience, including project management.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software (PondPack, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Autodesk SSA, Flowmaster, EPANET, WaterCAD).
Strong technical background in site and land development, municipal infrastructure, drainage, grading, and utility design.
