As part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive performance of the area; manage inventory to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience; model high quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; identify improvement opportunities and adapt to change.
