As part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive performance of the area; manage inventory to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience; model high quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use the Open Door Policy in executing business processes and practices. Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; identify improvement opportunities and adapt to change. Be an Owner: Manage area performance; utilize digital tools; stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers per policy. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; exhibit energy and passion for the work. Complies with policies, procedures, and ethics; uphold Open Door Policy. Completes work using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with stakeholders; sets priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; identifies improvement opportunities; adapts to change.
