Project / Copy Manager
Founded in 1919 as Phototype and recently rebranded as the Olberding Brand Family, we are a family company focused on delivering the highest quality and client service in the graphics design, management and printing industry. We Design, Optimize and Protect Brands. Our clients are primarily consumer products companies and printers and we help them by delivering a broad range of services from brand strategy and packaging design, to adaptive design across various print and digital platforms, all the way to color management and the production of printing plates. With our world headquarters located in Cincinnati, we have over 450 employees throughout the United States and offices in Europe and Asia.
The Project / Copy Manager, in collaboration with the Tactical Design Manager, manages implementation, process and workflow to ensure all packaging projects move seamlessly through the process and that the desired objectives are met. The Project / Copy Manager initiates, prepares, routes and tracks copy documents to inform packaging artwork by working with internal and external resources. This role also is responsible for routing, tracking and reconciling artwork projects for assigned brands.
Duties And Responsibilities Include
Participant on a multifunctional team for packaging graphics artwork: internal, client stakeholders and external suppliers
Prepare, route, proof, reconcile copy documents to inform artwork by working with internal and external resources, ensuring all deadlines are met
Review and reconcile copy doc with layout files prepared by design agencies
Order, track, enter and proof translations received from vendors
Act as subject matter expert relevant to copy docs – research and reconciliation regarding legal, trademark, regulatory, etc.
Serve as first level technical support to client for copy doc database
Assist Tactical Design Managers as needed
Route artwork, track, follow-up and provide instruction as needed
Qualifications Include
Customer service mindset: passionate about servicing the client and other OBF employees
Working knowledge of business software such as Office, FileMaker Pro and Acrobat
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent of 3+ years work experience within appropriate discipline
Consumer product company knowledge or experience preferred
