Business Development Manager SUTURE - CLIPS – VTO
We are looking for a:
Business Development Manager SUTURE - CLIPS – VTO Category (m/w/d) .
Reporting to the Sales Director EMEL, this role carries full sales responsibility for the SUTURE – CLIPS – VTO category within the defined EMEA B2B markets. The position is accountable for delivering sales and profit targets, driving market development, and optimizing relationships with existing and new customers.
The jobholder acts as the central point of contact for key customers, distributors, and internal functions, ensuring alignment of market needs, regulatory requirements, and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Full sales responsibility for the category across EMEA, including selected Russian‑speaking markets (Geographical Business Management, including strategic vision and operational roll‑out).
Achievement of KPIs related to sales and margin targets, including sales budget management for the geographical area.
Identification and development of upcoming market opportunities across established and new markets.
Execution of the strategic plan for market expansion and growth across EMEA, including prioritization of geographies (strategic vision and operational execution).
Optimization of value and revenue across existing partners while minimizing risk to current business.
Strengthening strategic partnerships with key customers and ensuring optimal selection and management of local distributors (including contract management).
Building strong relationships and networks with potential key accounts and KOLs. Being active in the “local surgical life” (involvement in local congresses, development of Expert Centers, collaboration with our Marketing team to deploy our Education‑Led Commercial Model).
Supporting B2B partners with tender / GPOs related needs.
Conducting market research, competitive analysis, and preparing business cases with Go/No‑Go recommendations for new market entries.
Accompanying local regulatory processes to ensure the fastest possible market access.
Presenting and technically selling product features and benefits to customers and partners.
Calculation and negotiation of prices within defined parameters.
Providing monthly forecasts and contributing to annual budget planning.
Sharing field insights (e.g. from KOLs) with internal teams such as Marketing & Innovation to ensure accurate market reflection.
Advocating for both external partners’ needs and internal functional processes to achieve optimal outcomes.
Acting as a center of excellence for the SUTURE – CLIPS – VTO category across EMEA, leveraging best practices and driving continuous improvement.
Leading internal discussions on adapting processes to meet local legal requirements and compliance standards.
Relationships with Other Departments The jobholder serves as the main point of contact for external partners within EMEA for the SUTURE – CLIPS - VTO category.
Regular interaction is required with:
Customer Service, Commercial Category Director, Marketing Director, Product Managers, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, Legal, Production, R&D and Planning Teams.
Due to the complexity of regional sales needs and internal processes, this position requires strong communication skills and persuasive ability to balance stakeholder interests and achieve win‑win outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
Academic degree in International Business.
Proven sales experience in managing distribution network within an international and cross‑cultural environment.
Significant experience in the medical device industry.
Demonstrated success in managing sales growth through acquisition of new accounts and product launches.
Experience in tender business.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including cross‑cultural awareness, ability to manage stress and pressure.
Creative, out‑of‑the‑box thinker able to customize solutions.
Willingness to travel 30‑40% of the time within EMEA.
Home‑based in the EU.
3 languages appreciated.
English native or fluent.
Russian / Arabic / Turkish / French / German would be “nice to have”.
