Overview
Farmscape seeks a Full-Time Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance team, managing residential and commercial organic garden accounts throughout the Bay Area. This position requires 60% time in the field, and 40% in the office.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, onsite hours 7:30am-4:00pm.
Base pay range:
$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities Farmer Management & Training
Support ~9 farm maintenance employees in day to day operations of job
Use Google Suite and CRM systems to manage department logistics – drive, calendar, chat, docs, spreadsheets
Manage garden routes and schedules
Make quality-control visits to gardens with and without farmers
Order and maintain Department inventory
Coordinate spring and fall planting logistics across all maintenance sites
Work with management and staff to improve systems and guidelines
Design and lead training for new staff on maintenance practices, farming, perennial care, irrigation, customer service and Farmscape procedures
Identify opportunities for increased team performance, efficiency, and job satisfaction
Client Management and Customer Service
Keep portfolio of ~50 maintenance projects (residential, corporate and multi-family sites) on-time and at-budget
Maintain good customer relationships, both in-person and via phone/email and resolve customer service concerns
Represent Farmscape services with professionalism and excellent customer service
Other
Coordinate with other departments as needed
Attend staff, service, and training meetings as required
Additional tasks, as assigned by your manager
Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver’s license required)
Qualifications
5+ years landscape experience
Extensive experience with edibles, perennial and native landscapes
3+ year(s) personnel/team management experience
3+ years of irrigation experience
Expert knowledge of spreadsheets and Google Suite apps
Ability to learn and adapt to Farmscape best practices
Friendly and clear communicator
Organizational skills and attention to detail a must
Curiosity, resourcefulness, tenacity and strong work ethic are required
Valid driver’s license & proof of insurance
Physical Demands
Ability to lift 50lbs
Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time
Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
