Job Description Summary:
Plan, organize, supervise, and provide expertise in performing journeyman-level Drywall Framer duties. Consulting with clients and contractors in a professional manner, assigning tasks, ensure jobs are completed in due time and work is performed according to Swinerton standards. Discipline, mentor and monitor performance of employees. Support activities at all Swinerton job-sites as directed.
Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: Provide leadership and journeyman-level expertise across multiple trades and scopes of work
Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and coordination drawings
Confirm field layout and conditions; generate RFIs to address conflicts or discrepancies
Estimate labor, materials, equipment, and time required to complete assigned scopes
Track and report production progress for all assigned activities
Develop and manage daily/weekly work schedules and crew assignments
Create and implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs); ensure crews are properly trained and working safely
Enter daily crew hours and activities into Exaktime (Swinerton’s timekeeping system)
Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials, and crew operations
Monitor inventory and coordinate supply and equipment needs
Ensure jobsite cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact quality, schedule, or safety
Interface professionally with clients, subcontractors, and project team members
Ensure work is completed on time and in accordance with Swinerton’s quality standards
Lead, mentor, and discipline crew members as necessary to support team performance
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent or Project Manager
Skills & Experience Requirements: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Foreman or General Foreman in commercial construction
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, layout, and coordination across trades
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage field teams effectively
Physically able to lift/pull up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights or on equipment
Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor, including bending, squatting, or kneeling
Basic computer proficiency for timekeeping and field documentation
Ability to work in various outdoor and indoor conditions
Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused
