Lead the production organization to achieve customer satisfaction and meet or exceed production KPI’s Identify areas within the manufacturing process that are not performing to standard and implement data driven solutions to improve performance Identify, develop, and implement improvements within the manufacturing process Develop and sustain a culture consistent with the Carlex Vision Mission, and Values Statements Provide technical knowledge, training and skill for the production operations that will keep the process from incurring variation to stated process parameters Assist both Production and Quality in the proper identification of quality defects and implement countermeasures such as Poke Yokes, DOE’s, and other tools to eliminate defects Work closely with the Quality Organization when finding root cause and following the customer 8D process including meetings directly with the customer Coordinate weekly with the Maintenance Organization on any work on the production lines to maintain high levels of OEE Work with Human Resources to find exceptional candidates that will strengthen the organization and foster teamwork Participate in collection and formatting of data for reporting to all levels of management, including Corporate Executives Review all processes and new installations with the Environmental Health & Safety Manager to ensure compliance with corporate safety directive and policies Enforce safe work practices in the production group Backfill the Plant Manager and assume full responsibility of plant operations during absences for vacation or at other times as needed Essential Job Functions

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Organizational Development, or equivalent required Years of Experience: 10 - 12 years in manufacturing preferably within a glass manufacturing plant 3 - 5 years of glass manufacturing experience is preferred 7 - 10 years of experience in a Management role leading production operations Other Requirements: Solid understanding of Lean, 5S, DOE, and other process improvement tools to move the organization into a more competitive position Six Sigma Green Belt certified highly preferred Must be an uncompromising leader of corporate safety initiatives Must attend additional training as required or directed Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as workload or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays Key Competencies

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis Excellent Analytical Skills Ability to maintain composure and critical thinking under high stress situations and environments Ability to recognize problems, predict potential outcomes, and implement countermeasures quickly Excellent knowledge and understanding of the glass manufacturing processes is preferred Ability to effectively communicate to operators and Senior Executives Solid understanding of interface between the glass process, controls, and robotics Valid driver’s license required for business travel Ability and willingness to uphold the Carlex Values of Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence and Trust Seniority level
