Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the organizations quality management system in accordance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., NSF61, FM).
Establish and document quality policies, procedures, and work instructions to guide quality-related activities.
Lead a team of quality professionals including training and performance management.
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to ensure alignment with quality objectives and goals.
Foster a culture of quality excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team and across the organization.
Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to identify non-conformities, deviations, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, industry requirements, and customer specifications related to quality and safety.
Note: Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with diverse groups of internal and external customers.
Ability to prepare and present technical information.
Thorough technical knowledge and background of quality and manufacturing processes including GD&T, layout and gauging; machining methods and assembly processes as well as SPC and statistical techniques.
Well-developed analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Well-developed time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skills.
Demonstrated ability to work individually or in a team environment.
At least 2 years of related experience in manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain or quality field.
Hands-on metrology experience and familiarity with practical application of common gauges and fixtures.
Fundamental quality experience in manufacturing, assembly, or machining type operations.
Lean Principles/Experience. Experience in 8D, 5 whys, fishbone, pareto and other quality assurance tools and techniques.
Experience in Quality System knowledge (functional & Adherence).
Experience with Continuous Improvement.
Quality Auditor Certification preferred.
Working Conditions This position operates in a manufacturing facility where employees are exposed to various environmental factors, including but not limited to noise, dust, odors, and temperature fluctuations. The role may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required in designated areas. The company prioritizes employee safety and maintains strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures. While every effort is made to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, employees must remain vigilant and follow all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
