GE HealthCare . Job Location: West Milwaukee, WI. The role leads a new metrology department for the X-Ray Tubes design and manufacturing facility, including maintaining metrology equipment, performing critical measurements for incoming and in-process components, quality investigations, and concept development for measurement tooling required for x-ray tube manufacturing. The role executes existing metrology measurements, creates new measurements by reading prints, and reports results for First Article Inspection (FAI), investigations, and new product introductions. Operate the following metrology equipment to generate requested data: tactile bridge CMMs, optical CMMs, optical comparators, roughness & contour profilometer, hand gages (micrometers, height gages, etc.), ultrasonic nondestructive inspection, laser topography, helium leak check equipment. Interpret drawings with advanced GD&T into measurement strategies. Communicate with engineers/requestors about their experimental intent. Record data through Excel and PowerPoint; present data to requestors in-person or virtually. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, technicians, and design engineers to capture and produce a design that meets all product requirements for new or existing products. Apply basic understanding of ASME Y14.100-2017, ASME Y14.5, and ISO GPS (GD&T) to create measurements against prints. Examine engineering drawings of parts, assemblies, and installations to ensure accuracy and conformance to design requirements. Verify fit, form, and function for completeness and consistency of dimensioning on drawings. Required Qualifications

High school diploma or local equivalent (GED). Minimum 7 years of direct metrology experience creating measurement routines, executing measurements, and summarizing reports with results and recommendations. Prior experience with CNC, CMM, Zeiss Calypso. Prior experience with OPG ZONE3 and Measure Mind 3D. 3D spatial thinking; ability to understand coordinate systems and degrees of freedom; visualize multi-part assemblies; experience with 3D view manipulation in software. Experience reading engineering drawings or assembly diagrams. Desired Skills

Prior ultrasonic scanning experience; prior Helium Checker experience. Level 2 ultrasonic testing certification. Design and build work holding using modular fixture plates. Problem-solving skills and technical aptitude; ability to adapt to change in a team setting and handle multiple tasks. Degree or specialized training related to Inspection/Quality, Manufacturing, or Engineering. Nondestructive Testing certification (ANST NDT); formal Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training. Machining experience; ability to generate 3D design concepts, modeling in Creo Parametric, and generate assembly and detail drawing packages with Creo Windchill PDM. Additional Information
