Provides technical management, including budget and schedule oversight, for a specific contract or scope of work. Responsible for supporting or managing the successful specification, bid/award, design, production, installation, and acceptance testing of Ride and/or Show systems, such as Audio, Special Effects, Projection, Lighting, Set/Scenic, Props, Show Action Equipment, Ride Systems, Mechanical Systems, Network Systems, Parkwide Systems, Ride Control, and Show Control Systems. Major Responsibilities
Assist in managing vendors through bidding, designing, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, start-up, and commissioning of Ride/Show systems. Provide technical guidance and vendor management during design, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Manage scope generation, vendor contracts, directives, and change orders with support from Ride/Show leaders. Translate creative intent and business goals into technical documents for bidding and scheduling of system delivery. Support engineering calculations, design, drafting, and research for the Ride/Show project team and/or Engineering and Safety departments. Review vendor-provided design documents, including drawings, component selections, calculations, test plans, and results. Develop, review, or edit test protocols and procedures; witness or approve testing and results. Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities according to UO policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information
Some global travel (less than 30%) may be required. Significant vendor management involved. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field required; advanced degrees preferred. 3+ years’ experience in theme park technical/engineering roles or equivalent education and experience.
