The
Solar Superintendent
will oversee the on-site execution of floating solar projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient installation. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in solar construction, and a commitment to safety and quality control. The Supervisor will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site crews to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities
This is a traveling position requiring regular on-site presence at active project construction sites. Supervise and manage the daily operations of floating solar construction sites. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations. Lead site teams, including subcontractors and labor crews, to achieve project goals. Coordinate scheduling, logistics, and material deliveries to maintain project timelines. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards. Troubleshoot technical and operational challenges, implementing effective solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of site activities, progress reports, and compliance records. Foster a strong safety culture, conducting site safety meetings and enforcing OSHA guidelines. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and management. Ensure all construction activities adhere to environmental regulations and site-specific requirements. Qualifications & Experience
Minimum
5+ years
of experience in solar construction, with at least
2 years
in a supervisory role. Proven experience in
floating PV systems
or water-based construction is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of
solar PV installation, electrical systems, and structural components . Familiarity with industry safety standards, including
OSHA, NEC, and environmental compliance . Ability to read and interpret
construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications . Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong organizational and communication abilities to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools. Willingness to travel extensively to project sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
marine anchoring systems and floating solar infrastructure . Certifications such as
OSHA 30, NABCEP, or PMP . Background in electrical contracting or civil construction. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus. Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
