TRIGO Global Quality Solutions has several immediate openings for Quality Inspectors in Lafayette, IN, with a pay rate of $17/hr. This is a 2nd shift position (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM).
Reports to Site Supervisor/Site Leads
Quality Inspector Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following):
Client Relationship & Business Development
The Quality Inspector acts as an impartial third party between the production source and the customer facility to ensure the product meets set criteria.
Operations
Perform quality inspections and audits on incoming materials using hand gaging and visual techniques to determine conformance to specifications and fitness for use.
Identify and contain non-conforming parts or sub-assemblies.
Rectify non-conforming materials through rework, sorting, or scrapping as directed by the Team Leader.
Use methods such as de-rusting, grinding, drilling, tapping, assembly, and disassembly to rectify non-conforming materials.
Determine necessary tools and equipment for tasks.
Clean, grind, sand, and oil parts or sub-assemblies using hand tools or equipment.
Organization & Management
Communicate inspection results to managers, supervisors, and production teams.
Technical Skills
Ability to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders, and sanders for repairs and cleaning.
Utilize the company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Hard Skills:
Proficiency in English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and multitask
Flexibility in a fast-paced environment
Proactive attitude and ability to recognize needs
Handling sensitive and confidential materials
Ability to lift/move 30 pounds
Reliable transportation
Work Experience
At least 1+ year in a quality-related position.
Basic knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control methods.
Education Background
High School Diploma or Equivalent
