Executive Administrative Assistant to the Town Administrator
TOWN OF PLAINVILLE The Town of Plainville, Office of the Town Administrator, seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual to join the office as the Executive Assistant to the Town Administrator. The Executive Assistant coordinates and manages the activities of the Town Administrator’s Office and ensures that all directives and policies of the Town Administrator are carried out. The position provides a wide range of administrative functions to support the efficient operation of the office, assisting department heads with administrative tasks and information management. This is a full-time, confidential position that reports directly to the Town Administrator. The work schedule is 35 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, with additional time as required. The job description outlining the essential functions of the position is attached. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, ideally in a relevant field such as Public Administration or Business. Candidates should have three to five years of progressively responsible experience in a comparable role (e.g., executive or administrative assistant, office manager), with expert knowledge of office administration and familiarity with municipal operations strongly preferred. Experience in municipal government is desirable. A Notary Public commission or the ability to obtain one is required.
