Klotzman Law Firm
We are seeking a hard-working, detail-oriented, well-organized Legal Assistant with three (3) to five (5) years of Personal Injury experience to work out of our Hollywood, Florida office. Legal assistants are responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the law firm and ensuring the firm remains in compliance with legal regulations while providing clients the highest quality of customer service. We require someone who speaks both English and Spanish.
As a Personal Injury (PI) Legal Assistant, you will play an important role in helping the firm with intake, managing cases, drafting demands, and settling cases. You must demonstrate a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. You will be responsible for every aspect of the case, from inception to trial. The candidate must have experience in settling cases. Since the firm is growing, we are looking for a Legal Assistant that is willing to go the extra mile to serve our clients and the cases.
The Legal Assistant is to draft and prepare demands, complaints, motions, and pleadings.
While managing the case, the legal assistant is expected to gather all important client information from medical records, files, bills, correspondence and organize the information for further application in a pre-suit demand or for litigation in a timely fashion. Other responsibilities include calendaring events, appointments, sorting and distributing mail, organizing, scheduling appointments and conference calls, and other miscellaneous administrative matters.
Skills essential for the position:
The Legal Assistant must have excellent writing and verbal skills, and must be able to conduct basic research and collect important information to assimilate into demands and correspondence. The Legal Assistant must have great skills in managing client relations. Excellent time management skills are a must.

to any task needed within the firm. All team members must be willing to perform tasks needed to move cases forward and to maintain the organizational integrity and proper office administration.
You need to be able to talk to people (all people…including fellow employees, clients, visitors, salespeople, etc.) in a manner that is polite, professional, well-spoken, that puts them at ease. You must be an optimistic, positive person. Our office does not do well with toxic people or negative attitudes, whiners, complainers, gossipers, or victims. We like to keep the work environment positive.

Responsibilities
Draft and send letters of representation to clients, clinics and insurance companies (any and all parties involved)
Gather incident information from client
Prepare demand packages
Open new files (obtain medical records and bills, police reports, insurance information, request for PIP payout sheets, and fill out PIP applications for clients)
Call clinic to verify initial treatment
Communicate with health insurance companies including private health insurance in order to obtain coverage and negotiate medical bills
Reviewing policies, claims and other records to determine insurance coverage eligibility under Florida State laws
Schedule and prepare clients for recorded statements, IME’s and EUO’s
Assist clients with providers, property damage claims
Must be able to obtain insurance limits, negotiate medical bills and compile medical bill summaries
Assist attorney in managing global settlements or individual settlements and assist on the preparation of settlement disclosure
Maintain communication with the clients to ensure they are up to date on their treatment
