RBI owns four prominent quick service restaurant brands—Tim Hortons, Burger King, Popeyes, and Firehouse Subs—and is committed to sustainable outcomes through its Restaurant Brands for Good framework. The Payroll Representative will be responsible for processing hourly and salaried payroll, preparing online payroll data for the timely and accurate payment of employees, balancing payroll reports and records, answering payroll inquiries and providing guidance to internal and external personnel. Key responsibilities

Utilizes PeopleSoft payroll system to process weekly payroll, adhering to the processing schedule. Run various established queries to obtain payroll information. Review other processors' work. Act as backup to process direct deposit authorization forms. Review source documents to determine computer input necessary for required transactions. Process imports from PeopleSoft database and audit transactions against source documents for accuracy. Determine and enter payroll input necessary to calculate pay for new hires, terminations, and adjustments to normal pay. Prepare manual checks and generate required input data. Apply knowledge of Federal/State/Local tax withholding regulations to determine taxes to withhold under various situations. Verify accuracy of HR/payroll related transactions using computerized audit reports. Analyze control reports for data accuracy. Research and resolve problems related to weekly payroll payments. Managed weekly child support and garnishment processes interfacing with the accounts payable system. Run weekly term garnishment process and notify courts of employee terminations. Complete new hire reporting process. Maintain confidentiality. Other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma with work experience in accounting/payroll required. 2-year degree with Accounting coursework and payroll work experience desired. 1 to 2 years of experience in a corporate payroll department desired. Familiarity with payroll administration desired. The pay range is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on experience.
