Social Worker LCSW
– Brown University Health SUMMARY : The Social Worker LSW/Counselor reports to the Manager of the Department of Social Work and Counseling and the Program Clinical Director/Unit Chief. The role evaluates and treats a broad range of psychosocial problems, applying clinical social work skills to assist patients and families in resolving personal and environmental challenges related to mental or physical illness. RESPONSIBILITIES : Provide direct clinical services to children and families as directed by manager/clinical director/unit chief. Coordinate clinical services with interdisciplinary team members and complete documentation per policies and procedures. Participate in team meetings, rounds, clinical conferences, community meetings, staff meetings, and in-service sessions. Attend Social Work and Counseling Department staff meetings and fulfill all related responsibilities. Observe all hospital policies, rules, and regulations. May provide clinical supervision and/or consultation to social work/counseling staff, master’s students, and other trainees as arranged with manager. May participate in the MSW/LMHC training program, staff development, and other administrative teaching and training functions as delegated. Perform other duties as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS : Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work or related field and must be a RI Licensed Social Worker (LCSW), RI Licensed Independent Social Worker (LICSW), RI Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or RI Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Demonstrated knowledge and skills to provide care to patients throughout the life span with consideration of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns. Relevant clinical experience and RI license for general social work/counseling privileges. Four years post‑master’s experience and RI license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) for independent clinical privileges. Experience in a clinical setting with children, adolescents, and families. Supervisory experience preferred. Eligibility for privileging in three of the five areas of independent practice. – Normal office environment with exposure to patient care. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
– May supervise MSW/LMHC interns commensurate with experience. PAY RANGE
