Position Summary Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented paralegal to support our team. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a solid work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Location & Commitments
Practice Area / Department: Litigation
Status: Full‑Time / Non‑Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8 hours per day (40 hours per week)
Work Location: Hybrid / In‑Office options available; must commute to the Jacksonville, FL office
Responsibilities
Draft legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and contracts.
Manage discovery: organize, review, and produce documents.
Obtain, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other key case materials.
Support attorneys with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as needed.
Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date case files and calendars.
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts.
Track and record billable hours in accordance with firm guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Competencies
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (insurance defense preferred).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of court and administrative proceedings.
Familiarity with lawsuit summaries, litigation files, and legal record maintenance.
Proficiency in administrative tasks.
Works well in a team environment.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Must meet billing goal expectations.
