We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team. This role supports our attorneys throughout the litigation process by managing cases from filing to resolution, ensuring deadlines are met, discovery is completed, and clients are supported every step of the way. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional service to clients during one of the most stressful times of their lives.
Responsibilities
Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses in state and federal courts
Maintain litigation calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate with court staff for scheduling and filings
Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence using our cloud-based case management system (Filevine)
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and experts to facilitate case progress
Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, and trials, including exhibit preparation and witness coordination
Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and discovery responses
Manage litigation timelines, court appearances, and trial logistics
Assist with settlement documentation, lien resolution, and disbursement preparation
Maintain detailed notes and task completion within Filevine and Case Status platforms to ensure team communication and transparency
Qualifications
Minimum of
3 years of experience
as a litigation paralegal, preferably in
personal injury law
Strong understanding of Louisiana civil procedure and local court rules
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
,
Adobe Acrobat
, and
Filevine
(preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Compassionate and professional client communication style
Compensation $22 - $28 hourly
