University of Central Oklahoma . This is a Regular Student Tutor position which will provide in-person academic tutoring to students while maintaining an effective and positive learning environment. Hours per Week:
8 hours per week. Department Overview:
College of Liberal Arts, Department of Philosophy. Job Functions:
Assist UCO students with Core Requirement courses such as Introduction to Philosophy, Contemporary Moral Problems, Logic & Critical Thinking, and Social & Political Philosophy. Attend some classes for the courses tutored and participate in regular meetings with faculty supervisors. Enrollment Requirements:
Must be enrolled at least half-time during fall/spring semesters (5 hours for grads, 6 for undergrads). Full-time enrollment (9 hours grads, 12 undergrads) required for international students. During summer, at least 3 credit hours for regular positions, 6 (undergrad) or 5 (grad) for FWSP positions. Exceptions require a letter from the academic advisor. Qualifications:
Must be a Philosophy major or minor, preferably major, with at least 9 hours completed in Philosophy courses and a 3.5 GPA in Philosophy courses. Physical Demands:
