As a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant, you will provide anesthetic care under the direction of a qualified physician anesthesiologist. This includes gathering patient data, performing patient evaluation, and administering and documenting the therapeutic plan for anesthetic care. Essential Functions
Obtain an appropriate and accurate preanesthetic health history, perform an appropriate physical examination, and record pertinent data in an organized and legible manner. Obtain diagnostic laboratory and related studies as appropriate. Insert and interpret data from invasive monitoring modalities, such as arterial lines and central venous lines, as delegated by the supervising physician anesthesiologist. Administer anesthetic agents and controlled substances under the direction of a supervising physician anesthesiologist. Make post-anesthesia patient rounds and record patient progress notes. Evaluate and treat life-threatening situations based on established protocols. Perform duties in intensive care units, pain clinics, and other settings as appropriate. Required Education and Certifications
Master's Degree in Anesthesiologist Assistant program or related field, Active Ohio Anesthesiologist Assistant license, and Active certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). Physical Requirements/Work Environment
