Description:
This position is accountable for providing administrative and project support for all areas of the Elder Board, so that they can best serve the organization at a strategic level in a prepared, focused and intentional way.
Qualifications:
Manage the business office of the Board of Elders and serve as a liaison with the office of the Lead Pastor, ensuring all activities are conducted with integrity, Christian values and professionalism.
Act as the primary liaison and communication link between the Elder Board, The Church of Eleven22 directors (ELT), staff and congregation members.
Provide administrative support to the Elder Board by coordinating meetings and appointments, managing communications and representing the Board positively in interactions with congregants and the community.
Oversee travel budgets, expenses and schedules for the Elder Board.
Manage the agenda preparation process, ensuring the timely distribution of agendas and supporting materials for Elder Board and committee meetings.
Deliver meeting minutes and document decisions made by the Elder Board in a timely manner, as defined by the Elder Board Chairman.
Plan and coordinate the logistical arrangements–space and facility needs, Elder’s travel, accommodations and meals; supplies and media equipment for meetings of the Elder Board and the Elder Board’s committees, manage expenses/budget/reimbursements, etc.
Organize and execute projects under the guidance of one or more “point Elder” for a variety of diverse projects; these projects will include, but are not limited to, Elder retreats, Elder-Led Prayer, donor development, new Elder training and Elder travel.
Facilitate timely and informed review and decision-making by the Board including pro-active follow-up and status reporting on Elder requested/assigned projects or tasks across Eleven22.
Track key statistical and operational data important to the Elder Board as defined by the Chairman.
Develop written standard operating policies and practices to facilitate timely and effective communications and information sharing with the Board and management that supports the work of the Board.

Attention to detail and strong proactive communication skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment with 14 active Board members.
Must be self-motivated, able to adapt to workload fluctuations and proactively coordinate resources as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a senior administrative position.
Exceptional organizational, administrative and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively balance competing priorities, accomplish objectives and meet deadlines with a calm and kind demeanor with diverse people and viewpoints under all circumstances.
Proficiency with information technology and a willingness to explore and learn new technological solutions that can be used to facilitate Board meeting planning, event planning, communications and the work of the Elder Board is required.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary based on church needs. The church has several big events, (“All-Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year. Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Ministerial Exception:
The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook). Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti-discrimination laws.
