The Receptionist sets the tone for the community by being an outstanding information source and knows all points of contact for every department within the property to promptly assist visitors. He or she answers incoming calls, directs calls to appropriate personnel, distributes mail, manages the flow of correspondence, requisitions supplies, and performs additional clerical duties as needed.
This is a Part‑Time position. Hours will be Sunday‑Thursday from 4PM‑8PM.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Adheres to and conveys a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents
Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate, transferring callers to an associate’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable
Greets visitors in a friendly, interested, and helpful manner
Assists in ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies
Acts as main point of contact for residents, family members, and guests
Helps with related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing, collating, and any other tasks as requested by the supervisor
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
Helpful attitude and friendly demeanor
Excellent organization and multi‑tasking skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, both verbal and written
Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments
Professional appearance and demeanor
Strong computer skills, proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn customized programs quickly
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
At least one year of clerical experience preferred
