CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join a fast-paced team to assist with legal accounts. As a Paralegal, you will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the company's portfolio. This position requires a Top Secret clearance.
Base pay range: $83,545.00/yr - $107,415.00/yr. The pay range provided by CGS Federal (Contact Government Services). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
Provide professional, accurate, timely, and reliable paralegal support reporting to the Office of General Counsel (OGC).
Assist LITB or IALB; work products reviewed prior to submission; adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
Receive, prioritize, and process requests such as document review or requests for advice or legal technical assistance.
Research and locate responsive information documents; identify relevant laws, judicial decisions, and legal articles.
Perform typical paralegal functions: moderately complex legal research; summarize transcripts; review case materials; identify conflicting statements or areas needing investigation.
Prepare draft legal documents (motions, briefs, memoranda of law, exhibits) and assist attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Review discovery materials for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs.
Maintain documentation of records produced in discovery and case management functions.
Assist in drafting and issuing preservation notices and litigation holds.
Design, generate, and transmit reports regarding case assignments and productivity using case management databases.
Analyze and interpret requests from customers; conduct outreach to respond to discovery requests and interrogatories.
Assist in preparing declarations; conduct material reviews and redactions for privileged information.
Scan paper materials to digital formats; conduct legal privilege reviews using discovery platforms.
Review peers’ work for accuracy and provide edits to ensure quality and thoroughness.
Collaborate with discovery team members; serve as a consultant to government employees regarding privilege and document production.
Communicate with employees at all levels to complete projects with professionalism; provide weekly statuses to management and periodic updates to stakeholders.
Conduct searches of FBI systems and databases to retrieve relevant documents; support the Legal Hold program and information governance tasks.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school (having completed at least one year of study).
At least two years of litigation paralegal experience; trial experience is helpful.
At least one year of automated litigation support; working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Experience with a variety of computer applications including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging systems; familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.
