Servicing Paralegal – United Wholesale Mortgage The Paralegal assists leaders on the Legal and Compliance team by performing a variety of legal duties, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, handling active and non-routine litigation matters, responding to subpoena and discovery requests, and maintaining confidential company records.

This position requires 100% on-site attendance

What You Will Be Doing

Researching and analyzing law sources such as statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles related to servicing

Preparing written correspondence with outside counsel and third-parties

Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures

Editing legal documents for accuracy

Reviewing, monitoring and responding to regulatory requests

Assisting with Legal/Compliance trainings

Assisting with issues related to MERS, servicing, title claims and other title related issues

Performing clerical duties such as scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, and composing and typing routine correspondence

Other duties as assigned

What We Need You Must-Have Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or Paralegal certificate and a minimum of one year of previous experience in a legal support environment, either in a corporate or law firm setting.

Have experience performing legal research.

Have a commitment to continuous business improvement.

Be able to collaborate with numerous teams and team members to mitigate risk and ensure legal matters are resolved timely.

Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills.

Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously effectively.

Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Have excellent written and communication skills with an attention to correct grammar and business writing skills.

Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Have critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.

Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment.

This position requires on-site attendance.
