The University of Mary is located in Bismarck, ND. Summary of Athletics: The University of Mary is part of the NCAA DII within the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The school hosts 18 NCAA collegiate teams and a Division 1 ACHA Hockey team. Summary of Position: The Athletic Trainer works under the guidance of the Director of Sports Medicine and supervises the care of student-athletes competing in the University’s athletic programs. This existing position is open to experienced, new, or recent graduates. The Athletic Trainer will be the Lead Athletic Trainer for at least one sports team and is responsible for the prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment/management, emergency care, rehabilitation of injuries, and referral of athletes to appropriate healthcare providers within the University’s comprehensive sports program. Sport assignments can include, but are not limited to, football, cross country, track/field, volleyball, wrestling, men’s or women’s basketball, or ACHA Hockey. The Lead Athletic Trainer will assist with inventory and ordering of supplies for the Sports Medicine Department. The Athletic Trainer will assist athletes with setting up physician or other healthcare appointments. The Athletic Trainer may be asked to be a preceptor for Master of Athletic Training Students. A key responsibility is the enthusiastic implementation of and personal investment in the University’s ‘Greatness through Virtue’ whole-person development model. Education Requirements: Required: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training. Qualifications: Required: - Board of Certification (BOC) - Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing with the BOC. - Licensed Athletic Trainer in the State of North Dakota or eligible for licensure – must obtain licensure before the start date. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is required to walk both indoors and outdoors, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The athletic training room and offices are currently located in the McDowell Activities Center. Included within the environment are outdoor practice and competition facilities, both on campus and off campus, as well as the fieldhouse. Starting Salary:

$43k-$50k per year. Position:
