We are looking for a Histology Technician/Technologist to join our team. We offer a comprehensive training program, competitive wage, and excellent benefits. Hours
Full time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks), 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (Monday - Friday). Responsibilities
Prepares microscopic slides on human tissue for diagnostic purposes: includes grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and cover slipping of both paraffin processed tissue and frozen sectioning Verifies the specimen validity, identification, and requisition effectively, utilizing knowledge, skills and resources Follows histologic principles regarding specimen acceptability and integrity Performs IHC and H&E stains on a variety of tissues to assist in diagnosis Receives and accessions specimens to include all manual and computerized data entry Qualifications
High school diploma, or equivalent required ASCP HTL or HT Certification required Prior experience as a lab tech preferred Associates degree in related field preferred Previous Mohs/frozen section experience preferred, Dermatology experience a plus Benefits
