Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Youth Behavioral Health
Location: Memphis TN - Memphis Youth Academy
Job Type: Full-Time | Multiple Shifts Available
Pay: $28 - $33 per hour
Schedule: Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available.

Youth Opportunity is a nationally recognized leader in residential and behavioral health treatment for at-risk youth. Memphis Youth Academy in Memphis, Tennessee is a higher-capacity Youth Academy (approx. 68 beds) serving boys ages 13 to 18 in a trauma-informed residential setting. The program integrates clinical mental health and behavioral treatment with daily academic instruction, art, music, recreation, and social skills development. Youth typically spend 6 to 9 months in the program, participating in individual, family, and group therapy, restorative justice, life skills training, victim-impact awareness, and pre-vocational preparation. Small group living units foster stability, engagement, and preparation for reintegration into school and community environments. Position Summary
We are hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in Memphis, TN. Administer medications and monitor for reactions or side effects Conduct intake physical health assessments and screenings Document medical histories and maintain accurate health records Provide basic first aid and support emergency medical situations Collaborate with doctors, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health staff Communicate with guardians, case managers, and outside agencies Ensure compliance with state health regulations and treatment protocols Required Qualifications
Active LPN license in Florida Current CPR/BLS certification Ability to pass background check and drug screen Strong clinical judgment and organizational skills Willingness to work with youth in challenging situations Preferred Experience
1+ years working in behavioral health, pediatrics, or juvenile residential care Experience with trauma-informed care and crisis intervention Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards Other Requirements
Physical Demands: Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds and provide necessary physical services to clients. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that knowledge is attainable under the law. Must be able to transport clients.
