Open Rank Faculty Position in Classical (Non-Malignant) Hematology University of Virginia | Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncolog y The University of Virginia (UVA) Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncolog y, invites applications for an Open Rank, Open Track faculty position specializing in classical (non-malignant) hematology. Academic rank and tenure status will be determined based on qualifications and experience. About the Program
The UVA Classical Hematology Program is a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing expert care for patients with a wide range of benign hematologic disorders, including: Hemostasis and thrombosis disorders Anemias and platelet disorders Bone marrow failure syndromes Myeloproliferative neoplasms Other rare hematologic diseases While the focus of this position is non-malignant hematology, there is flexibility to incorporate malignant hematology based on the candidate\'s clinical interests and expertise. Position Overview
The successful candidate will: Provide outstanding clinical care to adult patients in both inpatient consultation and outpatient settings Contribute to the division\'s academic mission through clinical and/or translational research Actively participate in medical education, including teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers Qualifications
MD or equivalent degree required Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology; Internal Medicine board certification strongly encouraged Demonstrated interest and experience in academic medicine, research, and/or medical education Strong clinical skills in classical (non-malignant) hematology Eligibility to work in the United States Why UVA
