Med Surg Neuro Registered Nurse (RN)
for a top
Healthcare
client.
This dynamic role provides compassionate and reliable care to adults with a focus on neurological conditions, injuries, and post‑operative recovery within a patient‑centered model. The RN is required to perform thorough clinical assessments, analyze data to determine diagnoses, and manage treatment autonomously while collaborating within a supportive, interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Collect comprehensive patient data pertinent to health status or clinical situations and analyze the assessment data to determine priority diagnoses or issues.
Identify expected, individualized outcomes and develop a plan of care that is appropriate for the patient and the situation.
Act as an advocate for patients, protecting their safety and collaborating as part of the interdisciplinary care team.
Educate patients and their families regarding medications, procedures, and treatments, providing necessary support throughout their stay.
Ensure effective and efficient use of time, supplies, and equipment while administering treatments and interventions.
Provide direct patient care and treatment to acutely ill, injured, or recovering adults, utilizing autonomous clinical assessment skills.
Document all assessments, interventions, and educational efforts accurately and promptly in the patient's medical record.
Education
Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of one (1) year of Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) experience is Required.
Certifications/Licenses
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida or Multistate license, or able to obtain licensure prior to start is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Healthcare Provider) is required prior to start.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
