Responsibilities The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family speech therapy needs for patients across all age groups, including neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years). The therapist maintains documentation of patient treatments, evaluates, assesses, and plans treatment based on findings. They address educational needs for patients, families, and healthcare providers, manage patient care assignments, and perform organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations. The role also includes acting in a clinical leadership capacity, applying knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions, and performing other related duties as needed. Qualifications Required: Master's Degree Certified Speech Language Pathologist (National) - must obtain certification within 24 months of hire Speech Language Pathology license (KY) Desired: One year of speech/language pathology experience in a healthcare setting Doctorate Degree
