RTL Design Engineer – Austin, Texas, United States

At Apple, we work every day to craft products that enrich people’s lives. We seek a results-oriented RTL Design Engineer to contribute to our mixed-signal silicon design team.
Join a multi-disciplinary effort to build a solid foundation in logic circuits and gain exposure to analog concepts. You will learn flows used in modern silicon engineering, including full custom schematics for analog and high-speed digital circuits, translating functionality into efficient software behavioral representations, simulating code, and ensuring formal equivalence between designs and their abstract representations. You will also gain experience with software methods and analysis relevant to multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
Design micro-architected digital blocks within sophisticated mixed-signal circuits.
RTL coding for blocks specified by you or others.
Participate in design verification and bring-up by writing meaningful assertions, debugging code, and collaborating with the verification team.
Contribute to lab bring-up of circuits, potentially writing test scripts, analyzing lab data, and proposing experiments.
Minimum Qualifications
BS degree in a technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of mixed-signal concepts, RTL design, Verilog and SystemVerilog.
Deep knowledge of front-end tools (Verilog simulators, linters, clock-domain crossing checkers).
Knowledge of synthesis, static timing, DFT is a plus.
Knowledge of SystemVerilog assertions, checkers, and other design verification techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl and Python is a plus.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
